3 Earth Grounding the Cabinets

Principles for routing the PGND cables and the equipotential cables

The PGND cables and signal cables cannot be e bound or entangled. A certain distance must
be reserved between them to prevent interferen
nce from each other.

Principles for earth grounding the cabiinets: APM30H

The upper cabinets are connected to the lowe

cabinets with the equipotential cables.
The lower cabinets are connected with the
equipotential cables.
The cabinet below the APM30H is connected to the

5 Installing the Cables

In this chapter
chapter, the color or the appearance of the equipment are for reference only.
only The actual equipment may differ from
what is shown in the figures.

General principles for routing the cables

1 Different types of cables must be separately routed and

a cannot be bound in the same bundle. Cables in
each bundle or any two bundles cannot be entangled d.

2 The cables must be bundled tightly

g y and neatly.
y The jackets of the cables are not damaged.
g

3 Labels or nameplates must be attached to the cabless after they are installed.

4 The cables of different types must be routed in parallel or separated by special objects.

5 The bending radius of the cable is not less than five times
t of the diameter of the cable.

6 If the length of the power cable is insufficient, replace

e the cable rather than adding connectors or soldering
joints to lengthen the cable
cable.

6 Sealing the Cable Holes
a Sealing the Cable Holes in thee Cabinets

The cable module for the IBBS200D, IBBS200T, or APM30H H is the same as that for the TMC11H.
When two IBBS200Ds or two IBBS200Ts are installed in stack mode, the installation of the cable module in the upper
cabinet is not required.

Lead the cable through the cable hole with an aperture matchiing the cross-sectional area of the cable in order that the
sealing
li iis effective.

c Checklist for the Electrical Coonnections

1 All self-made PGND cables are copper-based and have proper wire diameters. No
breaking device such as the switch and fusse is allowed for the electrical connection of the
grounding system, and no short circuit is allowed.
a
2 According to wiring diagram of the power system,
s check whether the PGND cables are
securely connected, whether the AC lead-iin cables and internal cables are properly
connected, and whether the screws are tig
ghtened. Ensure that no short circuit occurs in
output and input cables.

d Checklist for the Cable Installaation

1 The connectors of each cable are securely connected, especially those at the bottom of
the cabinet.
2 All cables are neatly bound with cable ties, and arranged at even intervals, to proper
tightness, and in the same direction.
3 The power cable and PGND cable are route
ed separately from other cables.
4 The cables are distributed in a way to facilittate maintenance and capacity expansion.
5 Both ends of each cable are legible. That iss, both ends of the cable are labeled.
6 Extra cable ties are stripped off. All cuts are
e smooth without sharp projections.
7 The idle port that no cable is connected to is properly protected.
8 According to the APM30H capacity, ensure that all the MCBs are in normal status and the
MCBs for the batteries are set to ON. When n the mains works without voltage or with under
voltage, the batteries can provide backup power
p for the APM30H.

Cleaning
Clean cotton cloth can be used to rub the stain or dust on the surface of the area to be
polished or repaired.

Paint repair
Brushing paint of corresponding color should be applied according to the original coating.
Prior to the repair, the paint should be shaken

the bottle to absorb paint and evenly spread on the damaged area till the scratch/damage
is covered. Note that the paint coating applied should be as thin as possible. Paint coating
should not reveal any drops. The surface sho ould be kept smooth.
