alldecont and alldecontMED guarantees

medical units or at decontamination stations (NBC

alldecont and alldecontMED are light, handy
decontamination systems and suitable for the
decontamination of uninjured human skin after
contact with chemical toxins such as CWA.
It meets the requirements of the medical law and
EEC Directive 93/42, and has the European CE2.

There are personal applicators (2x12 = 24 ml) and

medium applicators (2x 330 = 660 ml) for medical
personnel available. The alldecontMED is designed
for the decontamination of casualties performed by
first responders or at decontamination facilities.

Chemical Components:

Sodium hypochlorite (aq)

Butyl carbitol + fatty acids

pH-value of the mixture: 7.5

The Decontamination Solution is applied
directly on the skin and is distributed equally by
applying a sponge on the skin.
For decontamination against CWA a contact time
of 1 minute is sufficient, nevertheless the solution
remains active for about 10 – 15 minute.
Reaction time on the skin: 1 minute
Although it is not obligatory to rinse the
decontamination agent off the skin with water
after use but it is recommended especially in
case of wounded skin. For that purpose
Prontosan® is an approved rinsing liquid.

Dermatological tests by experts3 have shown that

the decontamination agent can remain on the
skin up to 24 hours. However we recommend
that the treated areas are rinsed with water or
wiped with a towel as soon as possible so that
effectiveness of the decon process is maximised.

Even unknown toxic compounds which can

chemically not degraded will be diluted and
removed by the washing detergent effect.
The contamination can significantly be reduced.

Effect

The working principle is primarily based on the oxidation of the poisons by the activated chlorine and the
alkaline hydrolysis. The solution characteristics of the butyl carbitol together with the formulating soaps of
the fatty acids are essential for the success in decontamination cases of thickened and hydrophobic
poisons. This is the only way to release hydrophobic poisons from the skin surface and to let them react
with the activated chlorine.

The effectivity was tested by several studies, among others with S-Lost, Lewisite, Cyclosarin, VX and all
thickened variants of these warfare agents and was compared to other known skin decontamination
agents. – The results are convincing.
