1. INTRODUCTION
This document shows procedure of archive program for Siemen PCS7.

2. PROCEDURE OF ARCHIVE PROGRAM FOR PCS7

This chapter will describe the procedure of archive program for PCS7 by using Simatic
Manager.

2.1 Start Simatic Manager Application

- This Chapter will describe how to start Simatic Manager Application.

Method 1: Start , then go to 2.2 Open Project and Archive

Method 2: Start Simatic Manager through Window Start Menu, then go to Step 1
as below.

Step 1: Window Start Menu

Click “ Window Start Button “and Figure 2.1.1 will show as below.
Then click “All Program “as marked below.

Step 2: Click on “Siemen Automation” in Figure 2.1.2 as marked below

Step 4: Start Simatic Manager Application

- Click “Simatic Manager Application” as shown in Figure 2.1.4 and
Simatic Manager interface will display as show in Figure 2.1.5.

2.2 OPEN PROJECT AND ARCHIVE

This Chapter will describe how to open a project and start achieving program.

Step 1: Open project

- Click File - > Open and popup window will show as Figure 2.2.1, then select
“Multiprojects“ and select the project you wish to open.
- Remarks: Only 1 project can be select.

Step 2: After Project was opened, start archive/backup selected project.

- Click File -> Archive as shown in Figure 2.2.2 and popup window will show
as Figure 2.2.3.

Step 3: Select Project to be Archive
- Select “Multiprojects” and select project to be archive then click “ OK “
- Remarks : Only 1 project can be select.

Step 4: Select Location and save
- Select Location/ Folder from drop down list and save archived project as show
in Figure 2.3.4

Step 5: Start Archiving Project
- Popup window will show as Figure 2.2.5 and click “OK“ to start archiving
project database as show in Figure 2.2.6.
