Lesson Development:
1. Teacher will demonstrate how to hop with one leg and both legs.
2. Invite children to try hopping with both legs. Inform them that they have to land with
both legs.
3. Invite children to try hopping with one leg with balance.
4. Invite the children to try hopping once, as far as they can.
5. The three stations will be set up (Station A, B and C)
6. Explain the rules/instructions for each station
5. Divide the class into three groups. The groups will go to one respective station each
and complete the task at the station.

Lesson Development:
1. Teacher will show children the materials and explain that they will be designing their
own hopscotch pattern.
2. Teacher will demonstrate how to make a hopscotch using the materials and ask
children to try hopping in the hopscotch.
3. Teacher will paste the masking tape on the floor to indicate space allocation for each
group.
4. Teacher will divide children into 3 groups, distribute the materials evenly among all
groups and allow some time for discussion.
• Each group will receive 4 alphabet mats, 4bean bags, 4 hula hoops, 2 skipping
ropes and 2 cones.
5. After all groups have finished setting up, allow the groups to try to hop in their own
hopscotch respectively.
6. Rotate the groups until all the groups have tried all the hopscotch patterns.

1. Ask children to find a partner and explain that they are going to interlock each other’s
arm and skip in circles. Play the song Skip to my Lou again.
2. Teacher to set up the game by placing the bean bags in the hoops. Then place the mats
3 metres away from the hoop. Then put a marking 3metres behind the mat.
3. Teacher to spilt the children into 3 groups and explain how to play the game “Bees
and Honey”
• Each group to line up behind one marking. Imagine that all of you are bees
• At “go”, the first bee will skip to the hoop and grab 1 pot of honey (beanbag).
Then skip to the mat and throw the honey to your first group member in line.
• This will repeat until all children have tried at least once and there are no more
honey left in hoop.
• The group with the most pots of honey will win the game!

Lesson Development:
1. Teacher to set up the game by placing the hoops in the large group area.
2. Teacher to explain how to play the game “Where’s red riding hood?”
• The last child who sat down during the game in warm up will become Mr
Wolf first.
• The rest of the children will pretend that they are the red riding hood (RRH).
• Mr Wolf will skip around the large group area and RRH do likewise quietly
behind him.
• Whenever Mr Wolf stop skipping, turn his/her head and ask “Where’s red
riding hood?” RRH will freeze.
• When Mr Wolf declares “IT’S DINNER TIME!” the RRH have to run into the
home (Hoops) before Mr Wolf taps him/her.
• The RRH who is tapped will take turns to be Mr.Wolf.
3. After children played the game, gathered them at one corner of the large group area.
4. Give out the skipping ropes to children and ask them to skip to the other side of the
large group area, avoiding the hoops on the floor.
5. Allow only 2 children to skip together at one time so as to prevent collision.

What to prepare:
1. 10 Cones
2. 20 Balls
3. 8 Beanbags

Tuning In:
1. Gather children to do warm-up exercises.
• Head Rotation 8x
• stretching of each arm 8 counts
• Hands on hip and twist sideways 8x
• Stretching of each thigh and calf 8 counts
2. Inform children the importance of doing warm-up exercises
• It is to prepare our body for activity and to prevent any injuries.

Lesson Development:
1. The three stations will be set up (Station A, B and C)
2. Explain the rules/instructions for each station
3. Divide the class into three groups. Each group will go to one respective station each
and complete the task at the station.
4. Rotate the groups until all the groups complete the task at all stations.
