1984 by Dr. Joseph T. Lane, it is the longest established
chiropractic practice in Webster Groves.
“My wife and I grew up in the St. Louis community,”
said Dr. Lane. “Upon graduation from Logan College of
Chiropractic, I chose Webster Groves for my practice
because it reminded me of Normandy, the community
where I was raised.”

The staff at the Back & Neck Care Center includes
office manager Terri Thompson, who has over 18 years of
experience in the chiropractic field; Laura Hastie, who

the phone; and Lisa Minor, whose upbeat attitude
enlivens the Therapy Department. On occasion, Sue
Schindel helps out at the center. She has a background in
the medical field, and will usually be seen when another
staff member is absent.
“Many of our patients enjoy the camaraderie we all
share with each other,” said Dr. Lane. “We make each
patient feel like family and occasionally go beyond to
make their experience a positive one.”

community for making their 26th year celebration
possible. The Back & Neck Care Center has had the
pleasure of providing service to Webster Groves and its
surrounding neighborhoods for over a quarter of a

Mike Little became a certified personal trainer in 1999.
When he entered the industry he was disappointed with
what was happening in the profession and saw an
opportunity to create a more personalized experience for
each client and focus solely on their individual needs. He
decided to counter those practices in 2002 by starting his
own fitness center, Dynamic Personal Fitness (DPF). He
moved to his current Webster Groves facility at 607 E.
Lockwood Ave., Suite 101, in 2004.
“I wanted to bring professionalism and integrity to the
industry while trying to provide quality employment to the
best trainers in the St. Louis area,” Little said.
Exercise science has advanced since he entered the
industry and has lured more professional instructors.

Webster Eye Care In New
Role As An Optometrist
Kristen Schumer began working at Webster Eye Care
as a senior in high school. Nine years later Schumer has
completed her education and now joins Webster Eye
Care as an optometrist.
“I worked as an optician on Saturdays throughout my
undergraduate studies and four years of optometry
school. After graduation in May 2010, I began practicing
as an optometrist,” Schumer said.
Webster Eye Care, owned by optometrists Gail Doell
and Cheryl Davidson, has been providing eye
examinations, glasses and contact lenses to its loyal
clientele since 1992. The friendly and energetic staff has
been operating out of its current location at 7954 Big
Bend Blvd. in Old Orchard since 1998.
“The optometry profession began with only the
ability to give prescription glasses and eventually fitting
contact lenses,” Schumer said. “Now optometrists can

eyes as well as prescribe medications to treat eye

Dr. Vincent L. Travisano, DPM, a podiatrist/foot specialist
