ACTIVITY:
1. Use hand gestures for students to follow.
a. In (place right hand inside left-hand fist)
b. Under (place right hand (open palm) under the left-hand fist)
c. Behind (place right hand (open palm) behind the left-hand fist)
d. In front of (place right hand (open palm) in front of the left-
hand fist)
2. Students label the pictures on the board with the right prepositions.
3. Treasure Hunt activity.
a. Place the stickers at the assigned places.
b. Students search for it based on the hints (prepositions given in
the list)
c. There are 7 groups but only 5 stickers at each locations, so
each group has to be very quick.

UNIT 11 : IN SCHOOL

ACTIVITY:
1. Play the right and left game.
2. Go on a school tour to different places in school by following the
directions given by the teacher. Once they reach each destination,
ask them what is that place (hall, library, classroom, hostel). Discuss
what you do at each of the place (we eat at the hall, we read books
at the library). Students can jot these down.

3. Problem-based activity (Quiz)

ACTIVITY:
1. Listen to the song (played repetitively – individual activity)
a. Students guess today’s topic.
b. Students say aloud the name of the fruits they can catch from
the song.
c. Students complete the lyrics.
d. Sing the song.
2. Alphabet Scavenger Hunt (Group work)
a. Students search the names of fruits based on the alphabets
from the textbook / the song.
3. Dice speaking game (Group work)
a. Students take turn to throw the dice to answer questions
related to the topic.

FOCUSED SKILL: READING


ACTIVITY:
1. Presentation
a. Recall names of fruits by doing Fruits Search. Similar to Word
search.
2. Practice
a. Students read sentences describing the fruits.
b. They fill in a given table by searching for answers.
c. Answers are written on sticky notes in sentence form, pasted
all over the classroom.
3. Production
a. Students write answers on the board and discuss.

2. How many students are there in Year 6?
3. How many months are there in a year?
4. How old is Mr. Revilno?
5. How many siblings does Miss Florance have?

1. Paste sticky notes with numbers at random on the blackboard.
2. A representative from each group came forward and race towards
the numbers I say.
