Electrical network healthcheck
Many customers in the UK are unaware of the condition of the electrical systems in their facilities. Power
demand is increasing and becoming more important and this is putting more strain on these systems to
perform without failure.
An electrical health check from Schneider Electric helps you understand the condition of the network and
identifies any potential problems now and in the future. It can identify:
The report produced can help you to develop business plans for future upgrades or changes to the
electrical systems on site, providing a true asset register of the equipment and servicing requirements and
giving accurate up to date drawings for the system.
The review is undertaken by experienced Power System Consultants who are familiar with manufacturers’
equipment from 33kV to final distribution equipment.

Electrical network design
The correct design and selection of equipment and protective devices is critical to the reliability
and longevity of your electrical network. Our design team of qualified engineers understands the
requirements of the electrical loads in your facility. They will ensure the correct equipment is selected
according to customer and system requirements.
Our experienced engineers have been designing such systems for many years and are fully conversant
with all the relevant standards including 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, Earthing Standards and IEC
909 fault level calculations.
Our offer is suitable for new and existing installations which require either a brand new design or an
upgrade/reconfiguration to meet new demands.
5
Protection studies
Incorrect protection settings can result in spurious tripping during normal load conditions or failure to trip
during a fault. Inadequate discrimination can result in unnecessary disconnection of supply to loads.

Power consultancy auditing packages
Maintenance, monitoring, modernisation and management
We can enhance the dependability of your electrical installation and ensure lasting performance for your
installation, as well as improving performance by changing system architecture and organisation.
Compliant with the
latest regulations Our team of experienced Power Consultants will deliver our auditing packages, which offer a
comprehensive report, providing a detailed view of your electrical infrastructure.

Additional services:
Network reliability studies
Assessment of electrical and environmental stress and calculation of power availability to critical loads
Identify priorities for maintenance, equipment upgrade or network changes
Harmonics surveys
Identify the existing supply impedance and individual harmonics to reduce both electrical insulation
degradation and nuisance tripping of overload
