Whoo, that’s 50 laps of the grounds!

(That’s me, Nijino Yume. I’m aiming to be an amazing idol at the Four Star Academy!)

(Someday, I’m gonna be a first-star idol. That’s my dream!)

(This girl is Laura Sakuraba!)

(We perform our aikatsu together a lot, she’s an important friend to me.)

Sure am! But it looks like morning training is over for now.

This afternoon you two have your singing lessons, right?

LAURA
And in your beauty class, you’ve got walking lessons.

YUME

Before our lessons start, we should have some lunch!

Huh? Yuri-senpai, what are you doing?

Oh, this? I’m setting up some equipment that just got delivered.

It looks a little different to what I’m used to…

YURI

Of course it does! It uses the Aikatsu Photo System afterall.

Aikatsu Photo System!?

It reads an idol’s photos - their Aikatsu Photo - and projects an image of the idol into virtual space to perform
a live show.

It’s a machine that will make a brand new type of aikatsu possible!

It’ll probably be difficult to get the hang of it,

but it’s not just good for stage rehearsals or training…

You can reproduce some weird unit combinations that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

Like… a live performance where I’m a member of S4? Can it do that?

Well, it depends on if you had photos of S4, but if you did then of course you could do that!

YUME

(I was running at full power and Hime-senpai managed to keep up without breaking a sweat!)

But she was able to improve so much in such a short time…
She’s completely mastered the photo system in a day, it’s amazing.

She’d skip sleep just to practice probably.

SUBARU
I don’t think you’re meant to eat binders, it’ll give you a stomach ache.

YUME

I wasn’t going to eat it! I don’t eat everything I see, stupid!

SUBARU
And there you go, bright red like a boiled octopus again.

YUME
(This guy’s name is Subaru Yuki.)
(He’s a boy idol from the boy’s side of Four Star Academy.)
(He’s a part of the top idol group M4, but…)
(He’s so mean! He’s always making fun of me like this.)

SUBARU
So what were you going to do with that binder then?

YUME
This? I think someone lost it, but I don’t know who it belongs to…

SUBARU

but its owner has been keeping good care of it.

So, Ako-chan, you’ve been using the aikatsu photo system too?

AKO
Of course, I’ve got an excellent eye for which cards to use in each simulation.

LAURA
Looks like you’ve been reading up on how to self produce then, right?

YUME
Does that really matter? I think its okay just to have fun collecting cute cards!

KOHARU
That’s pretty fun too!
It reminds me of all the fun I had collecting things as a child.

LAURA
Y'know, it does remind me a little of game I played as a kid…

AKO

(That binder in Yume’s hands… That’s not hers is it?)

KOHARU
Ako-chan? Is everything okay?

Whoever has the most points at the end will win, and the one with the least loses.
The loser has to give the winner their most prized posession for a whole day!

YUME

KOHARU

These pictures are from my brother Asahi’s very first performance on stage.
It was such a precious moment for me to see.

…and then, after me and Koharu-chan got back to our room, we were completely bushed!

Training out of lessons is great for our aikatsu, but I think we trained a little too much…

KYOUKO
Idol training seems like hard work! But I can tell it makes the two of you happy, you can’t help but smile when
you talk about it.

MASARU
If you work hard with your aikatsu every day, you’ll be big name idols in no time!

YUME

They’re a brand new product from Yume-chan’s parents’ sweet shop.

YUZU
You two chose so fast!! What should I take…..

YOZORA
What about this one? You are always climbing trees, Yuzu.

YUZU
What!? The monkey!? Are you trying to say I’m a monkey?

YOZORA
Monkeys are very cute, you know! I’m a big fan!

YUZU
I am not a monkey! Hmmph!

Maybe you should have brought more animals to choose from, Hime.

Tomorrow’s the day! Our live performance with S4!

LAURA
Well, we’re just opening the show for them.

MAHIRU
Of course we have to warm up the crowd for them, but that’s no reason to think we can’t try and surpass S4
too!

AKO
Well of course, I suspect this might well be the best stage I’ve ever given.

KOHARU
I hope it is, Let’s give it our all!

KOHARU
It looks like the crowd is surprised too…

If the Aikatsu System isn’t powered, we won’t be able to continue the performance.

YUME
We can’t leave the stage like this, though.
As it is we’re in no state to pass things over to S4.
We have to do everything that we can! Until the lights turn back on, we have to!

LAURA
You’re right, we just have to stay positive. We’ve got to keep going in whatever way we can!

YUME
I have a good idea for what to do.

We’re gonna use the darkness for our self introductions!

There’s no way I’m on S4’s level yet, but…
We all tried our hardest out there!

Yume-chan, good work. That was a pleasure to watch.

Hime-senpai, thank you so much!

Hime-chan!! Where did you disappear off to?

HIME
I was in the stalls already, so I decided to watch Yume-chan’s performance.

TSUBASA
You were in the audience!? If they knew you were there with them…

Don’t worry. After the blackout, no one around me was able to tell who I was.
