1. Products covered by this Installation Instruction.

This Installation Instruction covers the CUE DEE Dipod supports, an all aluminum design used for
fitting antenna mounting tubes to roof tops. The support is available with mounting tubes ranging
from Ø75mm to Ø114mm. For large installations that require an Ø114mm mounting tube the small
CUE DEE clamp is used to connect the support tubes to the mounting tube. For smaller installations,
up to Ø90mm, a simpler attachment using a U-bolt is used. The mounting tubes are available in
lengths up to 5 meters and suitable for panel antennas, radio links or other common telecom
equipment.

3. Tightening torque
All nuts are pre lubricated to make the installation easier and quicker. The bolts
should be tightened with the required tightening torque according to Table 1.

4. Layout of the Dipod support

The Dipod supports can be delivered with mounting tube diameters between Ø75mm to 114 mm and
heights up to 5 meters.

Examples of installations of the Dipod support:

For mounting tubes up to Ø90mm.

For mounting tube up to Ø114mm.

5. Assembly of the Dipod support

1. Assemble the foot on the mounting tube and position it in the direction of the slope of the roof.

2. Assemble the upper tie bar, consisting of either a U-bolt joint or a small CUE DEE clamp, Figure xx,
on the mounting tube. (For further information on how to assemble and adjust the CUE DEE clamp see
the Manual for CD 8770.)

3. Attach the foot to the support tubes.

4. Connect the support tubes to the upper tie bar joint.

5. Raise the antenna mounting tube into vertical position.

6. Attach the support foots to the roof.
