Procedure

(Ref. Fig. 301/TASK 32-42-00-991-003 SHEET 1)

Subtask 32-42-00-870-052
A. Bleed the Normal Braking System

NOTE:Bleed port for the normal brake system (Green Hydraulic System) is the aft bleed
port.

(1) Remove the bleed screw plug from the related brake unit.
(2) Connect a vinyl hose and put one end in a container that contains HYDRAULIC FLUIDS (Material No. 02-
003) .
(3) Moderately push down the brake pedal related to the brake to be
bled.
(4) Slowly loosen the bleed screw to get a smooth flow of fluid.
Let the fluid flow until it has no air bubbles.
NOTE:The safety valve can close if there is too much flow of hydraulic fluid during the bleeding
operation.

(5) Keep the pressure on the brake and tighten the bleed screw.
(6) Release the brake pedal.
(7) If it is necessary, do the operations again until all the air is removed from the braking system.
(8) Disconnect the vinyl hose . Remove all signs of the fluid from the bleed screw.
(9) Install the bleed screw plug.

B. Bleeding of the Normal-Brake Safety-Valve P/N C25243002-2
(Ref. Fig. 302/TASK 32-42-00-991-006 SHEET 1)

NOTE:Do this bleeding procedure only when you have safety valve P/N C25243002-2 installed on the system

(1) Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the PARKING BRK control switch is set to OFF.
(4) Pressurize the Greeng hydraulic reservoir to between 0.5 bar (7.2518 psi) and 1 bar (14.5037 psi)
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

CAUTION:DO NOT PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC RESERVOIRS TO MORE THAN 1 BAR (14.5 PSI).
HIGHER PRESSURE WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SAFETY VALVE.

(5) Remove and discard the lockwire from the reactivation plug (1).
(6) Slowly loosen the reactivation plug (1) to get a smooth flow of fluid. Let the fluid flow until it has no air
bubbles.

NOTE:Do not loosen the reactivation plug (1) more than 2.5 turns.

(7) Make sure that the static seal (2) is correctly installed in it's O'ring groove.
(8) Tighten the reactivation plug (1) and torque it to between 3.85 and 4 m.daN (28.39 and 29.49 lbf.ft) .
(9) Cleaning Procedure:

(a) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material
No. 11-004) to remove unwanted hydraulic fluid from the safety valve and the adjacent area.
(10)Safety the reactivation plug (1) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010) .
Subtask 32-42-00-710-056
C. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the Normal Braking. (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-00-710-001).
(Only obey paragraph 4 A).
- Do the check of the action of the pedals for the related brake unit.
NOTE:Make sure that there are no leaks on the bleed screw before and after the
test.

Subtask 32-42-00-210-057
D. Make sure that the level of the fluid in the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is correct
(Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001)
Subtask 32-42-00-860-053
E. Aircraft Maintenance
Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
