Goal 1: Professional Knowledge
To use the curriculum, assessment
and reporting knowledge to
design learning sequences and
creative lesson plans (2.3)
I will construct effective lesson plans
based around the school’s projects/
programs and reflect on curriculum
and assessment outcomes at the
end of each lesson to ensure
syllabus content has been covered
during lessons.
Goal 2: Professional Practice
To provide constructive formative
feedback to students on their learning
(5.2)
I have chosen this as a goal to help
improve my relationship with students
and inform the students of their
progress, strengths and weaknesses.
I need to learn a range of different
constructive formative assessment
strategies.
Action
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Identify areas of assessment within
the unit plan

Annotate lessons with supervising
teacher for portfolio evidence

Goal 3: Professional Engagement
To improve my knowledge in
professional learning and improve
practices (6.2)
As a developing teacher it is essential
to enhance my professional
engagement, including staff meetings
and some professional developments,
to further develop skills. I feel that by
engaging with other professionals and
being shown how to operate certain
machines etc. this will help me to
improve my skills.
To achieve this goal, I will need to:
Ask my supervising teacher for
demonstrations on particular
machines
Attend staff meetings and any other
professional development courses
that are available or offered
Contributions to staff and curriculum
meetings where appropriate
Documentation of all meetings I
attend, and a record of outcomes
discussed with supervising teacher
Participation in professional teams
Attendance at demonstrations of
school-base machinery
Written feedback, including that of the
supervising teacher

Other aims you may have for the professional experience: I would like to receive more written feedback, so I have
more evidence for my portfolio and increase my knowledge on ITC and other programs and equipment that are used
throughout the school (laser cutters, CNC routers, 3D printers etc.).
