book to help students understand mathematics at Junior High School level curriculum ktsp.
This book is a bilingual book containing about mathematical subjects secondary with two
languages, namely English and Indonesian languange. The material presented in this book
include:

Bab III : The Equation Of A Straight Line
Bab IV : The System Of Linear Equation In Two Variables
Bab V : The Pythagorean Theorem
Bab VI : A Circle
Bab VII : Poly hedral

In each chapter, the material is accompanied by examples quations and discussion to

answer clearly. The book also comes with an evaluation of materials with practice questions
are multiple choice and descriptions that variation.

D. Evaluation

A book written by a college professor who is aimed at children in the secondary have

certain advantages compared with other math subjects. We know for some children

understand mathematics is not an easy thing, but with this book the author wants to help

students in Junior High School to more easily understand the material.

 The author wanted to write books that can support the achievement of national education

goals in Junior High School, mainly to improve Intelligence, knowledge, personality, and

skills to be Independent and able to continue to the higher levels of education. Therefore, in
his book, he presents a more innovate learning material.

The author seems to want to give something special in his book that makes the book more
interesting. Among others the following:

1. First is comprehending the concepts of mathematic. The point is crucial in

understanding the math has been given clearly and detailed by the book.So the
concept is easy to grasp allows students to work on math problems.

2. This book use the logic pattern and characteristic to explaining mathematics idea and
statement with easy.

3. This book show example solving mathematic problems including the ability to
comprehend the problems, design mathematics, figure the model out,and
interpretation the obtained solution.

4. Communicating the idea of using symbols, tables, diagrams. Considering the

mathematics are identical to the numbers and anything complicated so the use of
certain media will make it easy for students to understand some matter of
mathematics.

5. This book also show respecting the use of the mathematics in daily
life, showing curiousity, attention,and courage to study mathematics as well as being
tough and confident in solving probelms.

6. And last,the advantage bilingual book, Student can understand early english in
mathematics.

Furthermore, in this book the method of point plus isthe material that followed the
example questions with explanations as well as exercises in order to question that does little
to improve students ' insight regarding the question what if will often appear. Given the
characteristics of the students these days are more creative then this book serves up
something interesting. The number of pictures that a variable will bring up an interest in the
book itself. And also some pictures in this book will encourage students to match the
material being discussed.

Nevertheless the evaluation questions in this book are not equipped with the discussion
so students can not confirm the answer right or wrong. And if wrong, where lies the gaffe.

E. Conclusion

Bilingual Mathematics textbook For Junior High Schoolbased ktsp for class 2 or VIII is
highly recommended because of the material that is presented complete, creative, and
innovative. While there is no discussion on the matter of his but it's not a big deal if students
are able to master the material properly. In addition to learning mathematics, this book can
also be a means of learning English because English vocab increase in mathematics.
