Planned Task Observation must be carried out at intervals not exceeding six months. Each person must be
observed every six months in respect of each hazardous task performed during that period e.g. If the
individual performed 5 different hazardous tasks then he/she must be observed at least 10 times in total the
year-twice for every task but with six monthly intervals.

PROCEDURE
1. Scheduled / planned observations will only be done standard WSOP AND WSWP activities.
2. Unplanned observations will be done on tasks / personnel when a site specific / special task is
performed. The risk assessment that was compiled for this specific task will be used as criteria detail
to measure compliance.
3. Observations will be documented on a standard format and deviations / non-conformances referred to
management for action.
4. Planned scheduling will only be done on permanent Babcock employees and labor broker an
employee that does work on a long term contract phase.
5. Unplanned observation however also needs to be done on short term personnel using WSOP’S and
WSWP’S as standard criteria. All unplanned observations must also be documented.
