FAQs

1. What is the rationale behind enabling offerings?

» Your subscription service dictates what offerings you are permitted to implement and use. Configuring Offerings
should be your initial task after activating the Oracle Cloud Application Services. Once the Enable check box is
selected against an offering, the Setup Task List for HCM will be generated accordingly. You can further define
business rules by selecting the Feature Choices, exactly where payroll customers would enable the specific
Payroll Cloud Service by Country.
See Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud Getting Started with Your Implementation on Oracle Help Center for
further details.
» Starting Release 13 Navigator or Menus appear only if the associated offerings are enabled through My
Enterprise – Offerings access card. Thereafter, navigation and springboard access are honored via the user’s
security function privileges, read Doc ID 2244963.1 for details.

2. How do I start with a newly provisioned Release 13 environment?

» For how-to, watch Oracle Applications Cloud Tutorials - Making Sure Your Offerings Are Enabled (video)
» To check if Offerings are enabled correctly, select Navigator – My Enterprise – Offerings work area. Place
cursor over the offering to reveal the status. Click Opt In Features to check the Enable check box, or clear the
check box to reverse the setting providing no setup data of the related business objects exists. If you encounter
difficulty, please raise a service request for technical assistance.

» Each choice of selection populates the respective set of documentation to support your implementation with
Functional Setup Manager (FSM).
