In the previous week, students were unable to work and their level was
decreasing. During this week the lesson was about 2D and 3D, Teacher took
students outside the class and she asked students to find different shapes from our
real-life items. The teacher was focusing on students exploring skills and she
starts asking some questions that can improve students thinking, for example,
what can you see? Who can tell me how did the square look like? Show me a
real-life object from this area, Students were pointing to the window because it
looks like a square and the whiteboard that looks like the rectangle. However, I
noticed that students were sharing, explaining and answering questions with each
other. After 25 minutes students went back to the classroom and teacher asked
them to set individually. During this lesson, the teacher gave each student the
chance to talk to help in increasing students social personalities and motivate
their behavior in the classroom, using this strategy helps in improving students
self-confidence because they will be able to identify group formats by working in
pairs, groups, and a whole class participation. Using different teaching strategies
will help in developing students learning abilities for example; teaching lessons
in different places such as play ground area, sport club or some were around the
school. Besides, In my lesson, I took permission from my MST and I took
students to another teacher classroom to give students the ability to use new
materials in a new learning environment, I noticed that students was interested
and their learning performance increased in this day and at the end of the lesson
they did a good job during the assessment.
