PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION: THE BASIC
For any type of business we always have to take into account the transportation of
our products. Choosing the right transport mode means finding a balance between
time and budget constraints. Therefore, when choosing the best way to transport
your products it is important to consider the following:

1. The budget must be the most important factor in your decision making

2. The speed of transportation is also important make sure that the mode of transport
you choose is reliable so that your customers do not feel disappointed.
3. If you transport dangerous or dangerous products, there are several guidelines
that you must follow. They must be classified as dangerous.

4. If your products are expensive or if you are shipping your product by sea, you may
want to consider some for insurance.

On the road: Transportation is cheap, convenient and one of the most flexible modes
of transport, but it is not as green as other methods and if you are not lucky, you may
be subject to long delays, which is particularly frustrating if you are working for a tight
schedule.

Therefore, when choosing the best way to transport your products by road, it is
important to bear in mind the following:

1. Restrictions on height, weight and length. At the moment, a truck should not
be more than 16.5m (54ft) long, 2.55m (8'4 ") wide and 44 tons, including fuel
and truck.
2. If you transport your products outside the United Kingdom and the Republic.
from Ireland, you should familiarize yourself with the CMR note, which applies
to all international road transport contracts. Railway
3. Rail transport is fast, respectful of the environment and not (always) subject
to congestion or delays. However, it is inflexible and can be very expensive.

But the easiest way to send your products by rail is to buy a rail transport package
through a freight carrier (FOC), a terminal operator or a third-party logistics
company.
4. Air freight is undoubtedly the fastest way to transport your products over long
distances, but it is expensive and not very ecological.
5. Compared to air cargo, shipping your products by sea is relatively cheap,
especially if you ship large volumes. However, it is slow and quite inflexible:
there are relatively few ports and you should probably make arrangements to
move your products inland.

• Maritime cargo ships are composed of the following:

1. Container ship - transport containers of 20 or 40 feet that can be rented
2. Cargo ships
3. Bulk carriers - transport unpackaged products, usually grains, coal, etc.
4. Tankers - transport liquids.
5. Roundabouts roll-on (ro-ros) - haul transport vehicles and passengers

• There are two types of boarding:

1. Rail-line vessels operate on fixed routes with fixed schedules.
2. The vagrant vessels operate completely according to the demand of the
person who rents them Courier.
