PROCLAMATION Lineman Appreciation Week - 2018 © WiteREAS, linemen leave thei families and put their Lives on the line everyday to keep the power on; and WHEREAS, linemen work 365 days a year under dangerous conditions to build, maintain and repair the electric infrastructure; and WHEREAS, linemen are the first responders of the electric cooperative family, getting power back on and ‘making things safe for all after storms and accidents; and WHEREAS, there would be no electric cooperatives without the brave men and women who comprise our corps of linemen; and WHEREAS, Moffat County will honor the hard working men and wornen who often work in challenging conditions to keep the lights on including those who work for Yampa Valley Electric Association and ‘THEREFORE, BEIT RESOLVED that Moffat County proudly recognizes ll electric linemen for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions by keeping the power flowing and protecting the public's safety. BEIT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Moffat County Board of County Commissioners headquartered in Craig, Colorado, do hereby proclaim the week of April 9th of each year as Lineman Appreciation Week by supporting and recognizing the contributions of these valuable men and women to America’s Electric Cooperatives.
