RESEARCH/CASE ANALYSIS FORMAT

I . INTRODUCTION OF THE ENTERPRISE

II. HISTORY

III. MISSION AND VISION- These statements are the words leaders use to explain an organization's purpose and direction.
When expressed clearly and concisely, they can motivate your team, or the organization as a whole, with an inspiring vision
of the future.

IV. PRODUCT AND SERVICES- n the Products and Services section of your business plan, you will
clearly describe--yep--the products and services your business will provide.

Keep in mind that highly detailed or technical descriptions are not necessary and definitely not
recommended. Use simple terms and avoid industry buzzwords so your readers can easily understand.

On the other hand, describing how the company's products and services will differ from the
competition is critical. So is describing why your products and services are needed if no market
currently exists. (For example, before there was Federal Express, overnight delivery was a niche
business served by small companies. FedEx had to define the opportunity for a new, large-scale service
and justify why customers needed--and would actually use--that service.)

Patents, copyrights, and trademarks you own or have applied for should also be listed in this section.

V. MARKET POSITIONING-positioning refers to the place that a brand occupies in the mind of the customer and how it is
distinguished from products from competitors. In order to position products or brands, companies may emphasize the
distinguishing features of their brand (what it is, what it does and how, etc.) or they may try to create a suitable image
(inexpensive or premium, utilitarian or luxurious, entry-level or high-end, etc.)
