FOREWORD

As a writer there is no word that deserves to be spoken in addition to gratitude and thankfulness
of the infinite presence of Allah SWT on the gift that has been given to the author so that it can
complete this task entitled "STANDARD RADIOLOGY SERVICE OF GENERAL
HOSPITAL".
Very well realized this paper is solely solved by the guidance of Allah SWT, the author also
realizes this paper is still very far from the perfection and many limitations so that the authors are
expecting constructive and constructive suggestions and criticism so directed to the perfection of
this paper can then make learning to the author on subsequent tasks.
Finally, the authors are hoping that this paper can be useful for readers as reference materials and
learning in the field of radiology, the author hopes that this paper can also be a guide in making

CHAPTER I

PRELIMINARY

1.1 Background

As a prospective health worker we should know, understand and learn how


services should be delivered to patients, especially in the field of radiology. There are
various fields of service in the field of radiology namely:

This paper we created for several purposes, among others:
1.Knowing and understanding the parts of radiology services
2.Knowing and understanding the various techniques and procedures in radiology services,
3.Able to apply radiology service techniques to patients in the field as well as improve the ability
in implementing radiology service techniques
4. Obtain references to develop radiology service techniques
CHAPTER II

DISCUSSION

STANDART 1 :

DEFINITION AND PURPOSE

Radiology service is :

The medical service spesialistic that serving up radiodiagnostic service, diagnostic imaging,
radioterapi and nuclear medicine.

The Purpose of radiology service is :

To increase the medical service quality in hospital and to support education and examination
activity.

CRITERIA : Radiology service activity that including specialistic and subspecialistic service.

Definition :

1. An diagnostic imaging examination that implemented must be detecting an pathology

2. No radioterapi service implementation.

3. No nuclear medicine service implementation.

STANDARD 2 :

ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

A. Administration

1. Schema service activity of administration depicted clearly. In schema activity of


administrative service have to be drawn by three system,

that is :

- path service of patient

- groove reporting

- monetary path
2. The result of inspection of radiodiagnostic imaging must be expressed in writing,
secret and clearly addressed to doctor which refers.

3. depository of archive result of radiology minimum 5 years.

4. there is no implementation of radioterapi service

B. Organization

CRITERIA :

1. Organization chart schema have to show the name of job, relation and occupation.

2. Breakdown of duty for every officer.

3. Working procedure.

4. Breakdown of duty have to be expressed in writing and clear, can be revised periodically
as according to situation.

5. If there is service of radiology residing outside radiology installation, it’s service remain
to be responsibility and reside in radiology coordination.

STANDARD 3 :
LEADER AND STAFF

So that service of radiology earn effectively, efficient and humanly, radiology service must be
done by professional staff.

CRITERIA :

 Medical staff

 Radiografer staff

 Darkroom staff

 Administration staff

STANDARD 4 :
FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT

A. Facility

facilities and basic facilities addressed to well-held of activity, effective, efficient and
humanly prescribed by the regulation.
radiology installation position have to in such a manner , so that can serve
reference patient.

CRITERIA :

1. Radiodiagnostic service, radiodiagnostic imaging service according to :

a. Major unit

- skull examination room

- thorax examination room

- mammografi examination room

- bone examination room

- tomography examination room

- gastrointestinal system examination room

- urogenital system examination room

- panoramic examination room

- USG examination room

Diagnostic imaging service

- Conventional X-ray unit

- USG X-ray unit

- automatic processor

- protection of radiation equipments

STANDART 5 :
POLICY AND PROCEDURE

Policy and standard procedure serving up :

 examination and diagnostic imaging action.


 examination result and diagnostic imaging action are being in radiologist

 All of radiograph or medical record must be examined by radiologist.

 An examination must be doing by radiologist.

STANDARD 6 :
EDUCATION PROGRAM STAFF DEVELOPMENT

An radiology installation must have an developing staff system and service appropriate with
public demand.

CRITERIA :

1. Radiology installation staff development must be active in commite of hospitally medic.

2. Active in education activity and gradual training.

3. An radiology installation must have an long time and short time program.

4. long time and short time program planning must be including staff development,
equipment and service capacity.

STANDARD 7 :
EVALUATION AND QUALITY CONTROL

An radiology installation must be evaluating in a periodical past trought quality control activity :

1. System and procedure service.

2. Facility and service implementation.

3. Radiology service implementation.

4. The result of service implementation.

5. Maintenance and facility improvement.

CRITERIA :

 Evaluation of quality service must be effected according to intern.

 evaluation must be effected to know the number and the kind of reference which
accepted.

 Evaluation of efectivity and eficiency service must be effected.


 evaluation of facility maintenance and improvement must be effected to increasing
quality service.

 the result of all evaluation are being planning and developing radiology service.
