An Atom
Of Praise Upon
The Infinitely Praised
By Zeeshaan Khan

This is a brief outline questioning the morals of mankind in today’s civilization. Our quest for physical
satisfaction has resulted in us negating and doubting the existence of the soul – our very essence.
This negation of the soul has consequently resulted in us been oblivious to our origin and our final
destination. As every living creature yearns for its origin, we should be no different. We are required
to attach ourselves to the origin of our existence – The Beloved Messenger of God – The culminating
light and mercy to all the worlds!

An Atom of Praise Upon The Infinitely Praised

I
t is with utmost humility and sincerity that I initiate this article regarding
the esteemed and lofty status of an individual that came to revolutionize
human thoughts and concepts. This was an individual that did not arise,
but was sent to a population whose beliefs and ideologies were transgressing all
moral, physical and spiritual bounds.

The Arab civilization was preoccupied with satisfying the physical aspect of the
human personality and negating every spiritual and moral code that had been
instilled in mankind since the beginning of creation. It was the very unity of life
which they had rejected and instead created diversity in morality and religious
belief. They had failed to witness the profound integration between every living
system and hence acknowledge the unity in creation. This discrepancy in their
thoughts had resulted in eventual confusion and anti humane ceremonies and
rituals. The fragmented concepts and the divided thoughts could be described as
a shattered glass in an inaccessible compartment. These fragments could only be
molded by an adhesive that could permeate the bonds of tradition.

The Esteemed Messenger  was indeed sent as a mercy to the entire universe. It
was not the cult-like religion that was implemented by him , but rather a
comprehensive, integrated and universal religion and mindset that was been
implemented. He had come to shatter the bonds of slavery of mankind and
simultaneously mend the dispersed fragments of the human personality under a
banner of unity. This was the adhesive utilized to mend the fragmented pieces of
human thought. It is the very abstract concept of unity that had transformed a
once ignorant civilization to a united nation once looked upon as the epitome of
human existence. The universal code that was Divinely ordained and
implemented through the Sultan of humanity  was one of expressive and
inward trustworthiness and truthfulness. It is these two qualities which earned
him  honor and dignity even by his very own oppressors. The essential
characteristic and attribute of love is what links humanity to the personification

of love. The basic attribute of mercy is what attracts humanity to the

personification of mercy.

But behold that love for the Last of the Divine Messengers  is the eloquence of
love itself. It is a steady process to attain this love. It requires love of every
living creature and aspect of creation to reach this eloquence. On the contrary
and in a much profound way, it can be said that with love for the Beloved of
God, love for creation will indeed follow as the latter sprouts from the light of
the former. It is with this quality of love that we draw the attribute of respect
and reverence to ourselves.

However, it remains pointless harping over these attributes when mankind has
forgotten the way to the path of love. In a stage of life where time seems to
evaporate speedily and ageing seems to occupy the thoughts of man, we have
lost attachment to the very own reason of our existence. We dwell in a time
where the thoughts of man are preoccupied with everything besides the
nurturing of his soul and morality and rather filled with the satisfaction of the
body. This is the reality of modern civilization. If we contemplate upon the
progression of human knowledge, we would realize that the ancient Islamic
civilizations were able to produce tons of knowledge in the forms of books of
all kinds of sciences and branches of knowledge. It is the paradox of our time
that we live in an age of technological advancement surrounded by numerous
publishing houses and institution but are unable to produce even a small piece
of literature compared to those civilizations. It is the fact of narrowed mindsets
and constricted hearts that our containers are unable to be filled with the
blessing of true knowledge. We have restricted our religion to labeling and
branding others rather than developing and nurturing ourselves. It is logical for
man to respect and revere his parents as they are the reason for his existence. Is
it not then logical for civilization to respect and revere the reason for their
existence?

However simple this might seem, it tends to be a rather difficult question for our
complicated and advanced minds to answer. Has humanity drifted too far from
the origins of creation? Have the ‘forces of enlightenment’ entertained our
minds and bodies with a culture devoid of a spirit and emotion? Have we
paralyzed and anaesthetized our souls to the waves of love emanating from the
few revivers of religion.

It is safe to say that hope is never lost and revival is not distant from us. There
remains a burning flame of love that emanates continuously and with ever-
increasing intensity from its origin in the valley of the Illumined City. There are
moths of yearning reformation that open their hearts to the heat of this flame.
We are privileged to live amongst the noble descendants of the most Noble
Being ever to exist. This intensifying flame of love is available to all at the cost
of stripping ourselves of arrogance and adorning our personalities with the robe
of humility and love. We see in the scientific dimension how metal pieces gain
the aspect of magnetism by being within the electromagnetic field of the source
magnet. The skeptic might draw the reasoning of coincidence from this
example. It suffices to state that the electromagnetic force is 1 of the 4 forces
that currently have been identified by scientists in today’s age. This force cannot
be seen or felt but it nevertheless exists. The force exists within the atom and is
only able to be observed because of the equilibrium between the various forces
which are existent. These forces exist together harmoniously with such
precision that if one of these forces were a few decimal points out, the universe
we see today would not exist. This is the accuracy in the magnanimous and
magnificent universe in which we exist.

This analogy was purely to draw to draw to your attention the importance of
close association with those who maintain a strong link with the Beloved
Messenger . It is at this point that I wish to expound on the esteemed status of
the last of the Divine Messengers.
