Student Weekly Notes- Week 3

General Instruction & Short week to finish instruction

Class Notes Monday - Wednesday
Monday: started 6’s-- using 3’s to help 6’s. LH & AH improved quickly, the
rest needed much longer than most other rotations because they needed
time to solve for 3’s and then to double for 6’s. After DK & EB hit a
frustration point we practiced using 5’s to help for 6’s. DK & EB did much
better with this… they have a better grasp of their 5’s than 3’s
Ended the week with 3 groups, LH & AH moving fast, JP, TL & MP mid
pace, DK & EB needed extra support with 6’s.

LH Finished 6’s monday

Did a quick 2 minute lesson on 7’s (using every other fact to remember
their 7’s and then memorize 7 x7) they moved on and finished 7’s on
Tuesday.
Gave the final two check ins on Wednesday, no lesson. Just games.

JP Finished 6’s with a few minutes at the beginning of Tuesday. Met with JP,
TL & MP after LH & AH. Did fairly well using their other facts to solve 7’s
facts. Quickly memorized 7 x 7.
Final check in completed wednesday

AH Finished 6’s monday

DK (SPED) Monday 6’s was very hard. Struggled to use 3’s to help so we moved to 5’s
strategy. Better but not good. Met with DK & EB again on Tuesday to
practice 6’s. Tuesday was MUCH better, they had more confidence and
worked together well.
7’s and Final quiz wednesday

EB Monday 6’s was very hard. Struggled to use 3’s to help so we moved to 5’s
strategy. Better but not good. Met with DK & EB again on Tuesday to
practice 6’s. Tuesday was MUCH better, they had more confidence and
worked together well.
