Work Experience

The Café on the Water 2014-Present

My role at The Café on the water involves providing a high level of customer service as well as
dealing with any queries, handling cash, selling food, drink, and gifts from the gift shop, cleaning,
cooking food, managing and training other members of staff.

Woodhatch Farm 2015-2016

My job at Woodhatch farm began as work experience required for my extended diploma which then resulted
in becoming employed and working there for a little over a year, my duties consisted off providing food and
water for over 200 sheep and 50 cows, as well as driving the tractor to clean them out, I also was shown how
to worm all of the sheep ready for breeding season and vaccinated them all, I lived at the farm over lambing
season and would have shifts where I would tend to all of the animals alone and help the sheep lamb, I also
administered all of the first vaccinations for the lambs as well as tail docking and castrating the males. In terms
of the cattle I would inject them if they were experiencing forms of lameness. I also took part in the
agricultural side of the farm such as assisting with the growth of crops for the animals to eat and general
maintenance such as filling in pot holes around the farm with tar and correcting any structural damage due to
harsh weather conditions.

Acres way Kennels 2013

Acres way kennels was my year 10 work experience which was chosen as I have always wanted to work with
animals, I spent two weeks cleaning out the kennels of strays, isolation, and boarding dogs as well as walking
the boarding and strays once a day. I was involved in the feeding of all animals and providing food for various
diets and intolerances.
