TITLE: Talentime ( singing competition)

Arif: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Talentime 2018 will begin in 5 minutes. For the
enjoyment of everyone here tonight, please switch off all electronic devices or set it to silent
mode.
Anis: Thank you Arif, for that timely reminder. The theme tonight is ‘Dare to Dream’ and it
would be unbecoming of us to mar the dreams of our contestants and the experience of our
audience with inconsiderate behaviour.
Arif: Ladies and gentlemen, a very warm welcome to each and every one of you to Talentime
2018. My name is Arif,
Anis: Tonight’s event promises to be unlike any other! Believe me, ladies and gentlemen, we
are going to be treated to a dazzling night of music.
Arif: We started off the auditions for Talentime with many eager contestants, and some made
it into the semi finals, but tonight, we have finally come down to only 3 finalists.
Anis: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m very sure you want to see them for yourselves, so please put
your hand together and scream our loud! We present to you…
Together: our Talentime 2018 finalists!
Anis: Let’s put our hands together to welcome our finalists
Let’s give it up for:
-Irfan,
-Hadi
-and,Andirian
Together:…our finalists for Talentime 2018!
Arif: You know, Anis, I just can’t wait to see what the finalists tonight have to offer.
Anis: I have to admit, Arif that I feel absolutely excited too, and I’m certain everyone in the
audience tonight is feeling the same way.
Arif: : Indeed, we’re very privileged to have with us tonight 2 distinguished guests who have
taken time off their busy schedules to serve as our guest judges along with our resident judge.
Anis: Our first judge is a firm believer in the holistic approach to education and this year, she
has graciously joined our judging panel. She is none other than Ms Leo!

Arif: Next, we have a person who is an ex-teacher and a strong supporter of musical and
literary pursuits. This year, we are very honored to have him back as a judge, and he is none
other than Mr Ong!

Anis: :Last but not least, we have with us tonight, Mr Chen who is the resident Vocal
Instructor at the School of Performing Arts. Having taught for over 7 years, he has had the
opportunity to work with many young talents during this time.

Arif: Thank you for being here with us tonight.

Anis: All that aside, right now, the stage is set and the performers are ready to rock and roll!

Arif: Ladies and gentlemen, for our first finalist, we have a melodious singer to mesmerize us
tonight. Irfan is always on the lookout for opportunities to step out of his comfort zone and
challenge himself. And tonight is one such occasion. Let us welcome Irfan with his rendition
of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Adele!

Anis: That was a very soulful performance by Irfan! Don’t you just love his voice? Thank
you Irfan!

Arif: And now for our next finalist. Hadi says that singing is his favourite pastime and with
this song, ‘Counting Stars’ by One Republic, he is already a step forward in turning his
dreams to reality. So ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together to welcome her on
the stage! Take it away, Hadi!

Anis: That was brilliant! I wish I could sing like that!

Arif: And now, for our final performer, We have Andirian who not only indulges in musical
but literary pursuits as well. Tonight, we are glad that Andirian dared to dream and is here
with us with his rendition of Alicia Keys’ ‘If I ain’t got you’! Without further ado, let’s
welcome Andirian !

Anis: : Finally, ladies and gentlemen, the moment we’ve all been waiting for! The result is
with us right now and before announce the results, we would like invite our Principal, Ms
Tay Lai Ling, on stage to present tokens of appreciation to our guest judges.

Ms Tay please.

Arif: We would like to invite our guest judges up on stage to receive a token of appreciation.

Anis: First up, we have Mr Ong.

Arif: And we also have Mr Chen.

Anis: Thank you judges.

Arif: Ms Tay shall now present the prizes to our finalists.

Anis: Without further ado, let’s give a warm welcome to the contestants.

Arif: The second runner up goes to Irfan. Will Irfan please step forward to receive your
trophy and cash prize. Well done!

Anis: And ladies and gentlemen, I think you already know this, but this finalist has beaten the
competition and come this far! The Champion for Talentime 2018 is none other than
Andirian! Big round of applause!

Arif: The first runner up would be Hadi.Will Hadi please step forward to receive your trophy
and cash prize. You gave a fantastic performance!

Anis: We would now like to invite the champion of Talentime 2018 to receive their trophy
and cash prize.

Arif: Well, the growth of our Talentime contestants will surely be something to look forward
to! Ladies and Gentlemen, we have come to the end of tonight’s programme.

Anis: We would like to thank all of you for being such a great audience and making this an
unforgettable night! And most importantly, for making Talentime 2018 such a huge success!

Arif: We sincerely hope that you have enjoyed yourself tonight! Do make sure that you have
not left your belongings behind!

Anis: : It’s been amazing! It’s been fabulous! It’s been wonderful! It’s been a whole lot of
