Statement from Captain Eric Gust, Vice President of Operations

All of us at Allegiant are proud of our strong

safety record, as noted in the most current,
comprehensive FAA audit. We not only
comply with all mandatory safety regulations
and guidelines, but also participate in
numerous voluntary safety programs. Simply
stated, safety is at the forefront of our minds
and the core of our operations. Thanks in
large part to the efforts of the FAA, the
worldwide recognized gold standard with regard to aviation safety, the airline
industry has never been safer.

Allegiant operates under a federally-approved Safety Management System which

includes avenues for anonymous, non-disciplinary employee reporting of any
safety concerns. Any such report triggers swift investigation and immediate
action steps as warranted. The FAA also provides an anonymous channel for
any aviation employees to voice their concerns. To be clear, any employee who
fails to report safety-related concerns through available channels is in violation of
company policies, and may also be in violation of federal regulations.

According to the most recent data released by the Department of Transportation,

Allegiant has the second lowest cancellation rate of all US carriers – a fact which
demonstrates our operational integrity and commitment to safety and reliability.
Our continued investment in training and infrastructure will only serve to make
our operation stronger and provide our loyal customers with safe and affordable
access to air travel.

Captain Eric Gust is Allegiant’s vice president of operations, responsible for the airline’s flight
operations, safety and security teams. In this role he oversees all system pilots and pilot
training operations, regulatory compliance and flight standards, and the safety and security of
all operations, employees and passengers.
