STEM Career Fair Project

You will be researching STEM career and putting on a career fair for other students and
teachers. We will be conducting our research and work over the next few weeks and will
put on the Career Fair on April 4. Your research and presentation during the fair will be
a big part of your 4th marking period grade.

Your final grade will be based on the following:

3 Careers Research 10 points each (Pathways)

Final Career Research 100 points (TECH)


Paper in MLA format

Big 6 Research Packet 50 points (TECH)

Help Wanted Poster 30 points (Pathways)

STEM Career Fair Handout 15 points (Pathways)

Presentation Board 70 points (TECH and Pathways)

Presentation during Career Fair 25 points (TECH and Pathways)


Your presentation board will be put together from your research on your final career.
Your board will be graded on the following:
1. Neat/Organized/Eye Catching (10 points)
2. Shows expertise and knowledge of the career and topic (10 points)
3. Includes a works Cited sheet as part of your research paper
4. Research paper and board should Include at least the following (70 Points)

 Education/Degree/Experience needed
 Skills needed (content and other)
 Job Outlook
 Salary: starting, career high, and median

In April we will be putting on a Career Fair. Other teachers and students from the
building will be attending to learn about your careers and ask you questions. It is up to
you to become experts on the careers and be able to explain and answer any questions
our visitors may have for you.

Your presentation will be graded on the following;

Students are knowledgeable: research is evident, student is able to answer questions
confidently and accurately
Professionalism: student acts in a professional manner during presentation, especially
while addressing visitors.
