To Whom it May Concern,

I am absolutely delighted to be able to give Amanda Ursini my whole­hearted recommendation.  I first 
met Amanda her junior year when she was a student in my AP Literature and Composition course at 
Buckingham Charter Magnet High School.  As a student, Amanda consistently impressed me with her 
work ethic, creativity, and ability to produce exemplary work.

Inside my classroom, Amanda is a natural leader and routinely sets the bar for other students. It doesn’t
matter if the assignment is an essay, a presentation, or a group project; Amanda tackles everything with
the same level of determination and enthusiasm to ensure that her product is at the top of the heap.
However, Amanda is also a leader on our campus outside of my classroom. Most notably, Amanda
volunteers to help operate and coordinate our Noche de los Muertos event on campus. Amanda has also
found great success in our Spanish program by earning a bronze medal on the National Spanish Exam.
Lastly, Amanda has set an outstanding example for her classmates by achieving perfect attendance and
obtaining zero tardies throughout her high school career.

Although Amanda has been a great asset to the Buckingham community, she has been able to make an
impact outside of our campus, as well. For example, for the past four years Amanda has volunteered to
provide childcare at Crossroads Christian Church. Equally impressive, Amanda has volunteered with
the Solano Chapter of Project Linus for the past year in an effort to provide blankets for those in need.
She has also worked for the Kumon Learning Centers and helped students with their reading, writing,
and math skills. Finally, Amanda has volunteered as an assistant coach for our local youth soccer
league.

Ultimately, I believe Amanda possesses qualities that would benefit any organization and am confident
you would find her to be one of your best hires and/or students.
