Piling work is completed on January 27, 2018

Piling capping beam over piles started on January 29, 2018 and completed February 21, 2018

Future Task

Excavation down to foundation level and its removal

Steel truss delivery and its erection

ENGINEER´S REMARKS

. The following factors attributed to delay the progress of work.

i. Formwork for the capping beam was insufficient and entire capping beam is completed in 8 stages.
ii. Excavation work could not commence due to boring of main tube well installation as well as arrangement for the
provision of temporary water supply boring.
iii. Removal of Temporary labor camp, site staff porta cabin, extra steel bars including scaffolding pipe for excavation
work to commence
iv. Installation of steel strutting system is undertaken after considering that sufficient concrete strength has been
achieved of capping beam over the piles.
v. The excavation drawings with three options for excavation were issued for approval, all options were discussed with
General Manager Indigo, wherein keeping in view pros & cons during the construction stage option No.3 was
 affirmed, but contractor has started excavation according to their new revised construction plan which will result
delay in fabrication of steel pipes along with its allied accessories.

SITE ACTIVITIES

Construction Materials

Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is used for the concrete works. Source for the coarse aggregate is from Sargodha and sand being used is
from Lawrencepur. Steel reinforcement bars manufactured by City Steel UAE of Grade 60 conforming to ASTM, A 615/A is used.

Concreting

Site mix concrete comprising of ratio 1: 1.75: 3.50 is used to attain the compressive strength as described in the contract documents.
Concrete cylinders were casted at site and shipped to Indigo site testing laboratory to perform the compressive strength at 7 and 28 days
to monitor the quality of concrete.

Capping beam

Provision for the all anchor bolts of specified size and shape prior to placement of the concrete was arranged in all respective positions for
the strut system to be erected

Capping beam over the piles started on January 29, 2018 completed on February 21, 2018.

3.4 Boundary Wall

Laying of brick masonry for the boundary wall towards eastern side started on February 12, 2018 and

Completed on February 23, 2018

Marketing Office

Porta cabin fixed and after interior decoration office is in operation to accommodate Indigo marketing staff

Excavation

Excavator I No. deployed at site on February 22, 2018, excavation work started on February 26, 2018 after removing steel bars, surplus
construction material, scaffolding pipes, and labor camp. Presently approximately 10 Ft depth has been achieved except ramp area and a
space for the storage yard along ramp area.

Strutting System

Steel Strutting system 2 No. is provided along capping beam in rear side and work is ongoing for the remaining struts.

Tube well

Tube well installation started on February 12, 2018 and completed on February 15, 2018, pipes removal and demobilization of boring rig
completed on February 17, 2018
