· Integrated Language Arts with Art to create and publish a class book about new characters based on traits of the Greek
Mythology gods/ goddesses. Constructed the idea through a lesson with the students and realized their connections with the
heroes they see today.
· Formed small groups in Math class, based on the needs of a very diverse group of students.
· Implemented behavior management strategies that focused and maintained a positive community filled with kindness and
empathy.

fundraiser for our organization.

involved working with people

o Attended the pre- service strand for Teacher educators, where we listened to the advice of the Illinois Teacher
of the year, Steve Elza, amongst other speakers.

o The award was created for myself, as I designed, implemented and raised funds to create directional signs for
the school grounds of North High School in Grayslake, IL.
