Spring 2018
Identification of Learning Problem
Cross Creek High School is 9-12 school in Richmond County. The students at our school have
limited knowledge of their digital footprint and its significance on their future. Courtney Fulcher,
the 9th-grade instructor for Tools for College Success, has expressed her concern about the matter
and will be the collaborating teacher for this project. Our students have proven in the past there is
an absence of wise decision making about their electronic devices and the world wide web. The
objective of this instruction is to help students understand the concept of a digital footprint and
how to clean up and maintain it.
Learner Analysis
The target audience for instruction is the 9th-grade class at Cross Creek high school. There are 21
9th grade students, 9 male students, and 11 female students. One of the students has an IEP, one
student has a 504 plan, and there are no identified gifted students. All students have access to
technology at school in the media center and in the three computer labs. The 9th-grade students
also have a selection of CTAE classes to enroll in that includes Intro to Digital Technology.
Cross Creek High School is a BYOT school, so many of the students bring their technology to
classes with cell phones being the most prominent.

cleaning strategies covered in the unit. Students will be assessed using a quiz and performance
task.
Formative Evaluation Plan

it. Working in groups, students will use a website to create a text Choose Your Own Adventure
game based on the Spring Cleaning your digital footprint strategies learned. They will also
