Project Yoga Richmond talks about Modern-Day Social Issues from a Yogi’s Perspective
Richmond, VA – On April 28th Project Yoga Richmond will be teaming up with Hari-kirtana das, author of “In Search of the
Highest Truth: Adventures in Yoga Philosophy” for a 6-hour workshop that focuses on yoga philosophy and how we can apply it
to our everyday lives. The event will go from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM and the cost of admission is $125 if enrolled before April 1,
and $150 if enrolled after.

In a national survey completed by Forbes Magazine it was found that as of 2016 more than 80 million people have tried yoga
and 16 billion dollars was spent on yoga classes, workshops, clothing, and gear. The ever-increasing numbers represented in
this survey show just how impactful yoga has been on the American population. Project Yoga Richmond has taken these
numbers into consideration and chose to host a workshop that will be applicable for them to use in their everyday lives.

Hari-kirtana das has been driven by his desire to guide people to a life that encompasses spiritual enrichment. Coming from a
background as an E-RYT 500 hr. certified yoga teacher and entrepreneur who’s worked extensively for Fortune 500 companies
has provided him with a great deal of insight in how to facilitate these workshops from a more realistic perspective, so the
modern individual can easily apply it to their lives.

This workshop will focus on the perspectives of both newly exposed yoga students to teacher’s who are fully accustomed to
living a mindful lifestyle. Hari-kirtana das will be providing guided meditation techniques, analysis of traditional yoga wisdom
texts, and discussing the social issues encountered today from a more philosophical standpoint.

“Real humility empowers us to act boldly and confidently. Yoga philosophy tells us that one of the best ways to develop
authentic humility is to cultivate an attitude of service and seek out opportunities to serve others without any expectation of
recognition for our efforts.” This is just a glimpse of the open-mindedness you can expect to be greeted by at the Ancient
Wisdom for Modern Life workshop.

With so much hatred and violence going on in today’s society, talking about how we can counteract it with feelings of love and
understanding can change both our mindsets and physical reactions to it. Project Yoga Richmond is striving to give the proper
exposure so those who want to learn how to lead with love and gain a more peaceful perspective are able to do so.
