i n d i c a t e d t h i s m e t h o d to be u n s a t i s f a c t o r y f o r shi pp ing v e h i c l e s in sea

This stud y was predicated upon the assumption that shi pp ing Cost for mil itar y
cargo moving by sea barge is rate negotiated instead of being based on
measurement ton. When rates are negotiated , the situation becomes
economicall y advantageous for the military to maximize space utilization of
th e barge. Thus , a stud y was made to determine the feasibility of m uit t lave r
stacking vehicles for shi pment In LASH light ers and SEABEE barges.

This study was predicated upon the assumption that shipp ing cost for military
cargo moving by sea barge is rate negotiated instead of being based on
measurement ton. When rates are negotiated , the situation becomes
economically advantageous for the military to maximize space utilization of
the barge. Thus , a stud y was made to determine the feasibility of mu ltilayer
stacking vehicles for shipment in LASH lighters and SEABEE barges. _ .
