3rd Quarter Independent Reading Assignment:

Literary Log

Assignment:
As you read your next independent reading novel, you must complete a personal literary
log of at least FOUR entries that span the plot of the book from beginning to end. These
entries are NOT meant to be plot summary; they are meant for you to express your
reactions/opinions about what you are reading.

Each entry must:

Be approximately 500 words.
Contain your reactions/opinions about what you have read up to that point.
Contain at least one significant quote (with page number) and your explanation of
why that quote is important.

Your Personal Literary Log must:

Have a cover page that contains your name, the title of your novel, and the author.
Decorate the cover with drawings/images. Be creative! 
Be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font and double-spaced.

Remember to:
Organize each entry in a logical manner.
Proofread to avoid errors with spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
