Activity The activity, the teacher will present a PowerPoint over the
terms of the following vocabulary and give examples for each.

The students will take notes on the terms and how they are
used to describe art work when it’s presented to them. Then the
class will be in split into 6 groups for each of the term. Each
table will have the term and the art project to go with it. Then
each group will present to the class their project using the terms
they learned.

Color: hues, tints, shades, tones


[ Primary: Red, Yellow, Blue
Secondary: Orange, Green, Violet (made by mixing primary
colors]
Form: Convex, Concave, Positive, Negative (draw and create and
example of these types of form)
Texture: Surface embellishment (elements of 2-D, 3-D Sand,
Rocks, dirt, glitter, Legos)
Value: gradation to create the illusion of depth on a two-
dimensional surface (directions on how to add highlight and
shadow to an image on paper)
Balance: Formal, Informal
Pattern: repetition to create rhythm, gift wrapping paper

presentation of the defined terms using Prezi. The students
