At the end of the course, the students should be able to:-

2. Carry out tiling installation

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed as an introduction for students who wish to develop their competency relating to methods in servicing and maintaining
work place tools and equipment based on identification of materials for floor finishing by using blue print, work specification, catalogue and
brochures. The students will also be able to prepare good vertical backing surface to receive finishing and prepare good adhesives for tiling and
mosaic fixing using blue print, work specification, tools, scaffolding, brochures and tools.

This course will also focus on setting out and laying tiles on walls, on floor in a proper setting out using work specification, appropriate tools,
equipment and materials. Beside, students also will be able to identify, select and prepare materials and background surfaces by performing
water base or oil base painting according to proper method using blue print, work specification, appropriate tools, equipment and materials.
Workplace safety and cleanliness guidance are also included in this module that contributes to the state of knowledge about finishing work.

2. CARRY OUT TILING RELATED KNOWLEDGE : i. Type, size, colour, pattern of tiles determined
