Other I have interned in a fifth grade classroom my senior year of high school through a dual enrolled program with
Lynchburg College titled "Teachers for Tomorrow", during which I completed 528 hours in the classroom. My
responsibilities included grading papers, doing office jobs for the classroom teacher, writing lesson plans, and
teaching lessons. I also taught Latin to a third grade class at Randolph College through a program called "Go
Latin". I was in charge of the entire class including writing lesson plans, making assignments and activities,
teaching lessons, grading assignments and assigning homework for the whole school year. I also have a little
sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters whom I meet with weekly. Finally, I have completed one semester (95 hours
and 35 minutes) of practicum in a 1st grade classroom as well as a semester in a 4th grade classroom. During
my time at JMU, I have been involved as a sister of Phi Mu Fraternity as well as a member of the JMU Club
Gymnastics Team. During my three years at JMU, I have also made both the Dean's and President's Lists and
have presented my HUM 250 term paper at the General Education conference in Fall 2018.
