Learning Objective : Success Criteria :
1.4 Analysing diffraction of waves A student is able to :
describe diffraction of waves in terms of
wavelength, frequency, speed, direction of propagation and shape of waves draw a diagram to show diffraction of waves..
DEVELOPMENT TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS NOTES
Set Induction 1. Teacher shows video about Idea Rush DIFFRACTION OF WAVES 2. Students are required to write information about the video in a piece of paper. 3. Students put the answer sheet in a box provided. 4. Teacher reads out the answers and relates to today’s lesson. Main Activities / 1. Students are divided into 6 groups. HOTs Development 2. Students completed task given by Conceptualize teacher. Solving problem 3. Group work is displayed on the table. Experimenting 4. 2 of the students in a group remain at their table and the other two roam to another group. 5. On the signal, the ‘Remainers’ share their work. The ‘Roamers’ listen, ask questions and add futher ideas. 6. The process is repeated until the ‘Roamers’ return to their table groups. 7. Table groups discuss new ideas from the ‘Roamers’. 8. Improvements based on comments may be made to complete the group’s work.
Closing Activity Students are required to produce I-Think map
based on the group’s work in their note book.
