Principles of Project Management (N2650)

This course is designed to prepare project managers, novice or experienced, with project management skills needed
to better manage projects. Built along the project management life cycle, this course covers detailed topics of the
basic concepts of project management, initiating project, planning project, controlling project, executing project, and
closing project. Those who participate in this class will improve their management skills and abilities to define the
project scope, create a workable project plan, and manage within the budget and schedule.

The course consists of classroom instructor-led lecture and discussion, which is reinforced with team and individual
exercises, and Case Study assignments with student feedback that is critiqued by the instructor, and the other
student teams.

This course can be applied towards the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Project Management Professional
(PMP®) Certification or Recertification. See the Certification Program section below for details.
