movement patterns.
Standard 2: The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics
related to movement and performance.
Technology Standard Addressed:
Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating competency in
their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences.
Selected Technology Tool:
☐ Quizlet ☐ Plickers ☒ Kahoot! ☐ Office365 Forms
☐ Other:
URL(s) to support the lesson (if applicable):

Technology that student will use to respond to questions/prompts:

☒ Computer ☐ Hand-held student response system (like iRespond) ☒ Phone ☒ Tablet (such as iPad)
☐ Other wireless device (such as iPod Touch)
Type of session:
☐ Teacher-Paced ☒ Student-Paced
Bloom’s Taxonomy Level(s):
☒ Remembering ☒ Understanding ☐ Applying ☐ Analyzing ☐ Evaluating ☐ Creating

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): I could tell students that there is a place for technology in physical
education. Even though students will be moving around a lot, there are ways to bring technology into PE. I
will also be sure to tell them that this is not the only technology that can be used in physical education.

Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity. Prior to this activity, the class will be working on the physical and cognitive fundamentals of
tchoukball. They are not into full game play yet, but they are participating in small-sided games that will
enhance their skills.

Describe the purpose of the SRT activity (check all that apply):
☐ Assess prior knowledge ☐ Anticipatory set (Create interest in a topic) ☐ To illuminate common
misconceptions ☐ Formative assessment of content knowledge (for purpose of differentiation and
mastery for ALL students) ☒ Summative assessment of content knowledge ☒ Test preparation
☐ Survey/Poll ☐ Discussion starter ☐ “Homework” collection ☐ Other (please explain):

Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: The students will be answering the questions
on their device of choice as each one comes up. The teacher should be watching and observing tentatively
and making sure the students are paying attention and answering the majority, if not all, of the questions
correctly. This activity should only last around 10 minutes.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):
☒ Multiple choice ☐ Multiple select ☐ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☐ Longer open-ended response

If you are unable to provide a working sample of your questions, please list them below (8-10):

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☒ Yes
☐ No
Why or why not?
I will do this because I want the students to be able see the answers instantly, and I will be able to assess the
class quickly and the students individually very quickly.
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity? After the activity is over, the class will be dismissed. The
students should remember what we went over in this activity because the next time we meet, we will be
going into full game play of tchoukball.

How will the data be used? All of the data will be saved onto the teacher’s kahoot, so he or she can assess
how the students are understanding the content. This will be taken for a small grade in the grand scheme of
things. The grades will be shown to the students before we enter game play, so they will know what to work
on for game play.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. (For example: What are you trying that you have not
tried before? What do you hope to learn from this activity? How do you hope it will help students learn?) I
hope that I learn how well my students work in an environment like that. It will be a competitive and
interactive environment, and I want them to respond in a positive and disciplined way. I hope that it will help
students of all learning styles, and I want the students to have a good understanding of the rules, tactics, and
techniques of Tchoukball.

Reflective Practice: I feel this activity could impact student learning by making a “quiz” fun for the students.
Because it is fun for them, they will be more into it, and they will want to be successful. Since this is the end
of a lesson, I want this to be a review before we get into game play in the next class meeting.
