INTERPRETATIONS
A majority of students multitask in class and at home.

131 students spend between 0-6 hours multitasking per day.

The most popular activities are texting, listening to music, and

browsing the web.

112 students rate their experience with multitasking between 5 and 8.

Students that spend less than 5 hours multitasking per day tend to
have higher GPA’s.

Students who have had a good experience with multitasking tend to

have higher GPA’s.
CONCLUSION
Most students multitask less than 6 hours a day while completing
moderately obtrusive activities, such as texting.

While most students are lukewarm towards multitasking, those who

have had a good experience (rated 8-10) with multitasking were more
likely to have above a 3.2.

Less time multitasking correlates with a higher GPA , which could

indicate that multitasking is detrimental to GPA .

However, several students with high GPA’s also spent upwards of 10

hours multitasking and rated their experience with multitasking highly.
