The Report of Analysis - Forced Disconnection of the Transmission System - Edition

2016 is one of the products of SFE's strategic change of performance and provides an
overview of the forced disconnections that occurred in the Brazilian transmission system,
from August 1, 2014 to 31 of July of 2015. The document compiles information of the
National Operator of the Electric System - ONS and of the Transmission Agents, which were
submitted to the critical analysis of the inspection. The Analysis Report also allows the
selection of facilities that demand greater attention, guiding the future actions of ANEEL
inspection.

In this analysis cycle, 50 transmission lines and 28 substations were selected, responsible for 1,142 forced
shutdowns, representing 34% of total shutdowns in the period. Critical analysis resulted in the request for
62 improvement plans , the inclusion of 11 projects in the differentiated monitoring of works , and the creation
of study groups to analyze the installations susceptible to fires; analysis of the requirements of teleassistence of
installations; and the structuring of a differentiated maintenance plan for the lines and substations that make up
the North-Southeast interconnection trunk.

The proposed actions aim to reduce the number of forced shutdowns in the transmission system by about
18.5%. In addition, there is the prospect of reducing by 70% the cases of forced dismissals without definite
cause. These results will only be perceived during the next cycles of analysis and from the conclusion of the
predicted actions.
