Summer Dance Workshop

PROPOSAL FOR SCHOOL DANCE WORKSHOP

I. Rationale
There are many different ways to express yourselves and one of the best way is dancing.
They say dancing is proven to make you healthier and smarter and also dancing is the hidden
language of our souls.
Today, many students can express their feelings and emotions through dancing. We, as
aspiring dancers want to share our talents through this workshop. A dance workshop that will
develop the participants’ skills, not only in dancing, but also their social skills. The proceeds of
this dance workshop will be used for the materials needed or for the fund of the Performing Artist’s
Dancers 2018-2019.
We conclude that this program would help the Liceo de San Pablo’s young people to
enhance their confidence through the summer dance workshop, young students will have a big
chance in their lives especially for their special and social aspects. This workshop will help them
to develop their talents, especially in dancing, their confidence and social skills as well.

III. General Objectives


By participating in this event, the students are expected to achieve the following:
a. Develop their flexibility and build up their skills.
b. To recruit new set of members who perform for this institution.
c. To gain more and boost up their self-confidence
d. To improve their socializing ability as they encounter a lot of aspiring dancers.
e. To discover the hidden talents of the students and to scout new faces of LDSP Performing
Artist.
f. To collect money that will come from the registration fee. The money will serves as fund for
the organization.
IV. Details
a. Date: April 23 – May 10, 2018
Weekdays
b. Time of activity: Morning, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
c. Venue: Depends on the number of participants
Choices: St. Ignatius Classroom, School Gymnasium, School Chapel
d. Participants: All interested students from elementary to Grade 12 department
e. Registration fee: Php 450.00 good for 14-day workshop
-Collected money will go to the organization’s fund.
-There are outsiders who were graduated in Liceo de San Pablo and were part of LdSP
Performing Artist that will participate in this event. The group of outsiders will be given two
thousand pesos each for their three-day-workshops.
e. Materials needed: 1) Portable speaker / sound system
2) Chosen music for different genres

V. Guidelines
a. On April 23, 2018 all the interested students will come as early as 8 o’clock in the morning for
the registration and payment.
b. The participants need to wear clothes that is comfortable. Note: No shorts (for girls) no sando,
no slippers and no accessories.
c. There will be two sessions in case there are many elementary participants. First is 8:00am-
9:30am for elementary students, second is 9:30am-12:00pm for high school students. If there are
some elementary participants, 1 session is permitted, 8:00-12:00am.
d. There will be a regular checking of attendance.
d. The appointed dancers/outsiders will come from the LDSPPA. Arranged depends on the genre
allotted for that day
e. All participants will be divided into 4-5 groups for their on the spot dance presentation.
We hope that this proposal will be approved by the admins. We also hope that this
activity will be successful and will be a great help for all of the aspiring performers. Thank you
