Torque 7.0
Background:
The event Torque was launched during the academic year 2009-2010 under the
guidance of Dr. C P S Prakash, the then HOD of Mechanical Department and now the
Principal of the Institution. The event hosts several technical events. With every
succeeding year the core committee plans to organize much more technical events
considering the developments in the technology and areas related to mechanical
engineering.
Vision:
Torque aims to provide platform to the students to showcase, improve and experience
the talent, technical skills and competitiveness respectively. Students involved in
coordinating the technical fest undergo the learning process of time management and
communication skills. It also helps to build a friendly relationship with the faculty
members and help them extend their social network. With this objective every year the
students come together with unique ideas and put those together along with staff in
order to elevate the grade of excellence and raise the level of technical symposium.
Recent History:
Previous Torque 6.0 was held on 11th 12th and 13th of April 2017. Many technical
events like ROBOTICS, Technical paper presentation (MAHAYANTRA), CAED-
Modelling (3D mechanical drawing), Technical Quiz, etc. were conducted for three
days in different departments.
With the same spirit and more interest, for the academic year 2017-18, Department of
Mechanical Engineering, DAYANANDA SAGAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is organizing
Seventh NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM on 21th, 22nd and 23rd March
of 2018. In this technical symposium all the technical departments of our institution
will participate actively.
