Unit Plan – Who am I?

Stages of Development

The focus of the unit plan is on the Stages of Development from infancy to adulthood. Each stage will be discussed with attention on Adolescence.
The students will identify various physical and emotional changes that occur during the adolescent stage and relate their own personal experiences.
The topic is part of the theme Who am I? as it helps students to better understand the stage of development they are currently at and the challenges
associated with this crucial stage. The topic allows for extensive discussion and the formulation of strategies to face the challenges associated with
this stage of development.

Rationale: To understand the importance of whom we are and the various stages of development experienced. And assist students in developing coping mechanisms for dealing

with the challenges they may face at varying stages in their personal development.

General Objectives:

 Students will demonstrate knowledge of who they are on a personal level.


 Demonstrate the ability to think about the various stages of personal development.
