InGen is currently accepting applications for the position of

Genetic Scientist

General Function and Job Duties:


This position exists to provide research to understand gene behavior, gene duplication
and extraction of DNA samples. Testing and reading of lab results to understand the
basics of genetic science in the biology and/or chemistry setting. (Alex Jacobs)

Responsibilities:.
● Provides technical data and analyses.
● Manages general tests of DNA extraction.
● Performs tests of gel electrophoresis, southern blot analysis and polymerase
chain reaction analysis.
● Use of optical microscopes and electronic imagers to monitor samples during
experiment.
● Document processes and results, which can be published in a scientific journal.
● Be able to conduct results for interpretation.(Alex Jacobs)

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Biology, Molecular Biology,
Chemistry, Animal Sciences, or any other related field; five years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:


● Advanced knowledge of research and institutional facilities operations
● Prior experience with animals
● Prior experience in working in team environment
● Integrity
● Commitment to the goals of the project

3. College transcripts. Applicant must obtain at least a master's degree.
4. 2 letters of recommendation are mandatory.

Conditions of Employment:
Salary for this position is $120,000 a year.
