Objective: The child will demonstrate how to identify different textures while helping the teacher
and peers.
Materials: Small tub, Doll clothes, socks, pieces of materials, clothesline, clothespins, liquid
Facilitation: Caregiver will guide children how to run the activity and also giving the children
fun facts about clothes washing. Encourage the children to wash each article of clothing on their

Materials: Daddy and Me by Karen Katz, Cloth tool set, and workman’s tool belt
Scaffolding: Child must have an idea of what tools are or what they do
Facilitation: The teacher will put on a tool belt to spark the interest of the children to become
curious of what it is. Explain what the tool belt is and what it is used for. The teacher will then
read the story to the class and have the children repeat the names of each tool.
DAP support: “An adult can support a toddler’s need to repeat the same story over and over
again, encourage her to do more of the story telling each time, and help her to extend or elaborate
Objective: The children will use their motor skills to create butter and use their five senses.
Materials: Heavy cream, plastic containers with lid, crackers, plastic knives.
Facilitation: Pour the heavy cream into a container and seal it tight. Tell the children to use two
hands to shake their container and when they're tired to pass it to their next friend. Encourage the
children to share the shaking process. Once the cream has turned to butter, have the children go
wash their hands so they can enjoy their crackers with the butter they made.
DAP support: “Caregivers follow health and safety procedures, including proper hand washing
methods and universal precautions to limit the spread of infectious disease.” pg. 105
Objective: The child will demonstrate learning in social development by delivering mail to their
peers.
Materials: Teacher made letters, boxes, career puppets, mailman dress up.
Facilitation: The caregiver will help the children dress up in their mail delivery clothes and
behavior and engaging in group activities such as a simple game of follow the leader.” pg.67
