1. What are your goals for the next 6 months? 3 years?

10 years and how do you plan on achieve those goals?

In the next six months I plan on graduating, studying and passing my NCLEX.
I also plan on applying and starting versant for Baptist Hospital to build my
foundation for my nursing career. In 3 years, I will attend Miami Dade College to
further my education and receive my BSN. In 10 years I hope to be a CRNA.

2. What professional/nursing organizations do you belong

to?
I do not belong to any organizations currently but I have plans of applying to some
in the near future.

3.What are the Standards and Scope of Practice of Nursing

in your future
specialty/career?
Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities;
prevention of illness and injury; facilitation of healing; alleviation of suffering
through the diagnosis and treatment of human response; and advocacy in the care
of individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations

4. What are the requirements to be certified in your future

specialty?
In order to be a CRNA I need two years ICU experience. Depending on the program I
want to attend will determine what actual ICU I can join. I also need to go back to
school for my masters.

5. How do you plan to achieve the certification?

I plan to achieve these certification by passing my boards, and gaining experience
on the floor. After that, I will begin to acquire the certifications and enter the ICU to
acquire my experience there. Then I will apply to the master’s program.

6. Which professional certification/s do you hold i.e. BLS,

ACLS, PALS, etc.?
I hold my Certification of Nursing Assistant and
Basic Life Support (BLS).

7. Which professional certification/s do you plan to

obtain in the next 6
months?
My plan is to achieve getting the PALS or ACLS certification within the next 6
months.
 8. Have you participated in a professional activity? If so
what have you
done?
I have participated in Relay for life, and I have also done community service hours
at nursing homes helping the elderly with their activities of daily living.

9. Do you see any advantages to belonging to this

organization?
Yes, I found it convenient that is the only nursing organization representing ALL of
nursing regardless of specialty or practice area.
