SKY-FI LAB workshop Report
An Association with sky-fi lab

A three-day workshop on FUSION 360 was organised by the department of


Mechanical engineering in association with APSSDC in SSE from 19Th to 21st
January 2018.
EVENT DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Mechanical engineering and in association with Andhra


Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation conducted a three days event
“Hands On workshop on FUSION 360 fundamentals on 19Th to 21st January
2018. In the Computer Lab -2. This program is targeted to Mechanical
engineering students with some knowledge on design soft wares. This course is
based on the design and execution of drawings in making the different
components of automotives.
About APSSDC:

Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is a


unique organization formed as a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) corporation
to promote skill-development & entrepreneurship in the state of Andhra
Pradesh. The objective of APSSDC is To Implement a structured and pragmatic
solution to skill and up skill the workforce in the state of A.P. and to increase
employability, and promote entrepreneurship in sync with Industrial growth of
the State

SESSION ACTIVITIES WITH RESOURCE PERSONS:

The programme started at 11.00 AM, the workshop is addressed by APSSDC
members with the explanation of FUSION 360. Total 33 students participated in
the workshop. The resource persons explained how fusion 360 is better than
other individual design soft wares.
The basic objective of the program is
• To gain the Hands-on workshop
• To improve the Ideas on Design projects
• To enhance Employability Skills

Day 1 Activity:
On first day the resource person shared the knowledge on FUSION 360
system. He explained “FUSION 360 software, which is designed for a specific
part or for specific co0mponent within a system or assembly of Industrial
machines, agricultural and process industry devices, automobiles, medical
equipment, cameras, household appliances, airplanes, vending machines and
toys as well as mobile devices are all possible locations for an embedded
system.

Day 02 Activity:
The resource person taught basic information of drawing sketches of
different parts of automobiles, such as connection rod, piston, cylinder block,
crank shaft and other parts.

Day 03 Activity:
On the third day the APSSDC members more concentrated on practical
session of given tasks to the students and students are also able to do practiced
minimum twenty parts.
