How much power is used at San Marin?
San Marin uses on average 630,515 kilowatts per year, but thanks to Mr

Himes, we have decreased that to less than half a million kilowatts. To

avoid problems with clouds, we plan to generate this during summer.

How will the grid generate electricity?
The grid will generate power with 5000 solar panels, or 7800 if we get the budget,

and a C30 turbine. We plan to vastly over produce during summer, and store until

winter using fuel cells, about 3000 of them, and it will be transported via copper

cabling.
Cost of the solar panels

$500 each

3x6ft each

Can fit over 7,000 panels using all of the roofs

Need at least 3,000 panels

Getting 5,000 which will cost $2,500,000

7,000 will cost $3,500,000

Hydrogen Fuel Cells
- We would have 3,300, 125 liter tanks full of hydrogen

- 4,000 square feet of space required for storage

- Must be placed away from students, hydrogen is explosive, very,
very explosive.
Why we chose it?
In a summary we chose it because we can store power almost
indefinitely
