THE RUSSELL REPORT April 30, 2018

Dear Friends and Partners in the ministry God has given us:

I was reminded recently from John 13

how that Jesus washed not only
Peter’s feet but also the feet of all the
disciples, including Judas’ feet. He
did this knowing that Judas would
betray Him. The truth is, when things
got tough, all the disciples abandoned
Him. Jesus knew they would do that
Meeting with our missionary leaders in Chile doing strategic planning
and yet He still washed their feet,
serving them, showing God’s love to them. I was challenged to humbly serve others the way Jesus did even when they
don’t deserve it. I am also grateful for the many of you that have served us in the past, and serve us still today, even
when I know we are not worthy of your kindness and generosity in both prayer support and financial support. Thank
you! We love you and thank God for you!

God has given us many opportunities to serve Him these past few months.
Between helping to train veteran missionaries and new missionaries for the
mission field, to participating in mission leader’s conferences, to helping
missionaries on the mission field with strategic planning, to preaching in churches
both here and abroad, to helping to resolve problems on some fields, to sharing
the gospel with MiLB ballplayers from the Dominican Republic and Venezuela,
to monitoring a crisis in Nicaragua (see below) and much more. God has allowed
our schedules to be full.

Our team was able to make a survey trip to Guyana and Suriname on the northern
coast of South America. We will be officially opening Guyana very soon. It is
the only English-speaking country on the continent of South America and is

invitation of our missionary team there, to help them with
strategic planning, and also preach in one of our Chilean
churches there and do other ministry things. It was great
to see so many of our friends. God truly blessed.

With the start of the baseball season, Scott has been

asked to be the Spanish chaplain again this year for the
Harrisburg Senators, a Double-A affiliate of the
Washington Nationals. It is a great opportunity to preach
the gospel in Spanish to a select group of people that few
have access to.

Please pray for our missionaries that serve in Nicaragua.

I was just there last year and taught a course on Biblical Preaching at our 2nd church plant in Chile
Counseling to pastors and missionaries. But now things
are in a mess. Political unrest has led to wide-spread demonstrations
and violent protests against the government. Over 30 people have
been killed in the mayhem. It is uncertain what the future holds there.
The US Embassy evacuated their non-essential personnel as did the
Peace Corp. Pray for us as we seek to make decisions regarding this
crisis and for the safety of our missionaries and the national pastors
and their church families. The son of one of our national pastors was
shot and he is now recuperating in the hospital in critical condition.

In our last prayer letter, we were about $850 per month under-
supported each month. Now we are at $539 under-supported each
month. Praise the Lord more support is coming in! One new church
has picked up a portion of our support, as has one new family, and an
increase in support from one of our existing supporting churches. We Nikki standing with some of the Spanish MiLB
