• Working with a team of 3 peers to design a device to detect angular acceleration of the skull in real-time
• Interviewing 2 experts in biomechanics and 2 football players to develop user needs
• Performing a thorough literature review to develop background information
• Presenting ongoing progress of device to receive
Automatic Fall Alert System
Wayne State University, Detroit, MI Sept. 2016 – Dec. 2017
• Worked with a team of 3 peers to design a medical device to call emergency services upon fall
• Created specified client questions to identify user needs and conducted an interview
• Formulated a Design History File to document process of device development
• Adapted a design based on user input
• Used NX to CAD specific design of system for 3D printing
• Developed and presented a prototype at Wayne State University’s Engineering Design Day 2017

Peer Mentor
• Write project proposals to help with course development, provide guidance to students, help build and design
concrete canoes, train in CAD Software NX, 3D print NX Models in Ultimaker and Lulzbot Taz, hold office hours
• Provide guidance in a class of 30-40 students twice a week and provide feedback on their homework
Dr. Howard Matthew’s Tissue Engineering Lab, Wayne State University July 2016 – Nov. 2016
Volunteer Research Assistant
• Worked to develop a system to create uniform, strong GAG-GMA-Chitosan Fibers
• Analyzed fibers through the use of digital microscope
• Learned sterilization method of autoclaving
• Learned basic microencapsulation of GAG-GMA Chitosan
• Attended weekly meetings and provide monthly presentations to keep the team updated on progress
